On Monday I set out for the first trip out of Alice Springs. Elliott is north on the Stuart Highway, 762 kms from Alice Springs:
Although I have driven through Elliott before on both work and family trips, this will be the first time I have spent longer than an overnight stay, and the first time I have spent the night in Elliott as previously we have camped at Lake Woods, which is to the south west of the town, even though the turnoff is just to the north of town.
It will be a long drive with an early start, but hopefully I will arrive with time to call in and see a few people to make the following morning a little easier ie. Know where to go and who to see.
Elliott does have mobile coverage according to the Telstra website, so hopefully there will be a post or two from there.
